Etihad Airways has signed a Memorandum of Co-operation (MoC) with the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, strengthening ties between the airline and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The agreement was signed during Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2026 in Dubai.
Agreement signed:

Purpose:
Promote tourism marketing and trade between the UAE and Uzbekistan.
Key focus:
Joint marketing, promotional activities, and trade initiatives to raise Uzbekistan’s profile internationally.

Etihad CEO’s statement:
Uzbekistan is a promising new market, supported by Etihad’s daily flights to Tashkent and codeshare with Uzbekistan Airways.
Uzbekistan’s tourism growth:
- 9.1 million foreign tourists (Jan–Aug 2026)
- USD 4.6 billion in tourism service exports
Flight expansion:
- Daily non-stop Abu Dhabi–Tashkent service launched 9 August 2026
- Codeshare with Uzbekistan Airways (since May 2026) gives access to 8 more destinations: Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, Nukus, Termez, Fergana, Namangan, Andijan.
This partnership is designed to make Uzbekistan more accessible to global travelers and strengthen its presence in international tourism markets.
