KLM welcomes passengers to 'Grand Café KLM'
KLM is introducing a new onboard service concept called Grand Café KLM, starting in October 2026, on its European flights. The idea is to give passengers more choice and flexibility with food and beverages:
Pre-order meals:
Passengers can book options like a poke bowl or Caesar salad before departure.
Onboard menu:
Items such as a salmon egg wrap or yogurt with fruit and seeds will be available for purchase during the flight.
Complimentary service:
Coffee, tea, water, orange juice, and the signature stroopwafel remain free of charge.
KLM’s EVP of Inflight Services, Bas Gerressen, explained that this concept is designed to enhance the European travel experience by letting passengers tailor their meals to personal preferences. It follows testing phases across destinations and builds on KLM’s recent investments in passenger comfort, such as adding modern Airbus A321neo and Embraer 195-E2 aircraft with USB charging ports, larger overhead bins, and complimentary Wi-Fi on European flights.
