Etihad Guest, the award-winning loyalty programme of Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, announces a frequent flyer partnership with Taiwan-based STARLUX Airlines’ COSMILE loyalty programme. The partnership marks the next stage in the airlines' strategic relationship, building on the codeshare agreement signed in June 2025 and the launch of Etihad's direct services to Taipei in September last year.
Launch Date:
From 4 August 2026, Etihad Guest members can redeem miles for STARLUX flights in both Business and Economy cabins.
Destinations:
Expanded access to Asia, North America, and Europe — including onward connections to Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle, Okinawa, Kobe, and Nagoya.
Future Expansion:
By October 2026, Etihad Guest members will also earn miles on STARLUX flights, while COSMILE members will gain reciprocal earn-and-redeem privileges across Etihad’s global network of 100+ destinations.
Strategic Context:
Builds on the codeshare agreement signed in June 2025 and Etihad’s Abu Dhabi–Taipei service launched in September 2025 (operated by Boeing 787-9).
Leadership Comments:
- Arik De (Etihad) emphasized creating a seamless loyalty experience and strengthening ties with STARLUX.
- Richard Tseng (STARLUX) highlighted how COSMILE members will gain far greater reach through Etihad’s global network.
Strategic Impact
- Abu Dhabi is positioned as a gateway between STARLUX’s Asia-Pacific network and Etihad’s European routes.
- Taipei becomes a key hub for Etihad customers traveling deeper into Asia.
This partnership is a big step in Etihad’s loyalty strategy, giving members more flexibility and reach while deepening ties with STARLUX.
