Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat launches Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 ; Nationwide campaign to be observed from 9 to 17 August, 2026

Campaign Significance
- Originated in 2022 under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, now an annual tradition.
- Citizens across India proudly hoist the National Flag and join cultural, heritage, and digital activities.
- This year coincides with the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram”, making celebrations especially meaningful.

Vande Mataram Integration
- Mass singing of Vande Mataram nationwide.
- Online five-step tutorial to learn the correct rendition.
- “Selfie with Tiranga” feature now includes lyrics and tune of the National Song.
- Exhibitions showcasing the history of Vande Mataram.

SURYAPATH TIRANGA Initiative
- A global Tiranga relay following the path of the rising sun.
- Indian Missions worldwide will hoist the flag in succession from east to west, symbolizing unity across time zones.

Partition Horrors Remembrance Day (14 August)
- Silent marches, exhibitions, and documentary screenings across India.
- Major observances in Delhi, Kolkata, and Amritsar with theatrical performances and commemorative events.
- Dedicated quiz live on MyGov platform.
