Metro Railway Kolkata is enhancing connectivity with extended service hours and more trains on both the Blue Line and Green Line, effective July 27, 2026 (experimental basis).
Blue Line (Mon–Sat)
- First trains: 06:00 hrs from Dakshineshwar ↔ Shahid Khudiram, plus early services from Dum Dum and Mahanayak Uttam Kumar.
- Last trains: Around 22:03–22:43 hrs, ensuring late-night connectivity across major terminals.
Green Line (Mon–Sat)
- First trains: 06:00 hrs from Howrah Maidan ↔ Salt Lake Sector V.
- Last trains: 22:30–22:36 hrs, extending evening travel options.
Sunday Services
- Start later at 09:00 hrs on both lines, but still run until 22:30–22:43 hrs.
Service Increase
Blue Line- Weekdays: 12, Saturday: 12, Sunday: 6
Green Line- Weekdays: 8, Saturday: 8, Sunday: 3
