This World Youth Skills Day, Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) , India’s largest hospitality company, joins forces with Tata Community Initiatives Trust (TCIT) – Tata STRIVE and Andaman & Nicobar Islands Integrated Development Corporation Limited (ANIIDCO), a government enterprise of A & N Administration engaged in development of tourism & infrastructure, to strengthen hospitality workforce development in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The Partnership
- Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has teamed up with Tata STRIVE (Tata Community Initiatives Trust) and ANIIDCO (Andaman & Nicobar Islands Integrated Development Corporation Limited).
- Aim: Strengthen hospitality workforce development in the islands.
- Guided by IHCL’s Paathya ESG+ framework, which commits to skilling 100,000 youth by 2030.
Programme Details
- Launching with a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) initiative.
- 250 hospitality personnel across hotels, restaurants, resorts, and allied establishments will be certified and upskilled.
- Training modules include:
- Front Office Management
- Food & Beverage Service
- Housekeeping
- Kitchen Operations
- Multi-Cuisine Cooking
- Bakery
- Guest House Operations
- Locations: Sri Vijayapuram, Swaraj Dweep, Shaheed Dweep.

- IHCL (K. Mohanchandran): Emphasized vocational training as a national priority to boost employability and service excellence.
- Tata STRIVE (Ameya Vanjari): Highlighted sustainable livelihood pathways through industry-aligned skills.
