Emirates is preparing for one of its busiest periods, with more than 3,500 children flying solo over the next two weeks as families head off on summer holidays before the new school year in Dubai.

How the Service Works
- Booking: Required for children aged 5–12 travelling alone. Can be booked up to 24 hours before departure.
- Young Passenger Service: Optional for ages 12–15, available for USD 50 per flight.
- Unaccompanied Minors Lounge (DXB): PlayStation 5 Pro consoles, Wi-Fi, snacks, and supervised relaxation before boarding.
- Airport Support: Emirates specialists escort children through check-in, security, and boarding, carrying passports for safety.
- In-flight Care: Cabin crew provide extra attention, seat preferences, special meals, and entertainment.
Onboard Experience
- Complimentary toys, giveaways, and 100+ video games.
- Children’s content on ice entertainment: Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network.
- Birthday celebrations with cake (pre-ordered 48 hours before) and Polaroid keepsakes.
Arrival & Connections
- Emirates staff meet children at the aircraft door and escort them through arrivals until handed to authorized guardians.
- For connecting flights in Dubai: maximum layover of 8 hours, with lounge access and supervised meals if needed. Overnight stays are not permitted unless an adult guardian is arranged.
