Departure Date: Asiana Airlines, headquartered in Seoul, will formally leave Star Alliance on December 16, 2026, at 23:59 Korea Standard Time. Customer Transition: - Mileage accrual: Customers can earn miles on Asiana-operated flights departing on or before October 15, 2026. - Mileage redemption: Award tickets and upgrades on Asiana Airlines can be redeemed for travel completed on or before December 16, 2026, subject to programme rules. - Status benefits: Star Alliance Gold and Silver members will continue to enjoy benefits, including lounge access, priority services, and recognition, until December 16, 2026. Network Continuity: After Asiana’s departure, 14 Star Alliance member airlines will continue operating from Incheon International Airport, with over 1,900 direct flights monthly to 29 destinations worldwide. Additional Connectivity: Seoul will remain connected via Air China, ANA, and EVA Air services at Gimpo International Airport. Alliance Strength: Effective December 17, 2026, Star Alliance will comprise 25 member airlines, continuing to deliver effortless multi-airline global journeys.
