Air India collaborates with the Indian Army to advance skill development for Veer Naris and families

Air India has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the Indian Army to enhance training, employability, and livelihood opportunities for beneficiaries from the Indian armed forces community.

Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC):
Air India signed an agreement with the Indian Army to enhance training, employability, and livelihood opportunities for armed forces families.

Employment for Veer Naris:
Up to 20 Veer Naris (war widows) and 40 of their children will be recruited through Air India SATS Airport Services for roles in airport operations such as customer service, load control, and ramp operations.

Vocational Training in ASHA Schools:
Vocational labs will be set up in 25 Army-supported ASHA schools for specially abled children. Training covers diverse fields like photography, music, sports, arts, beauty and wellness, hospitality, electrical skills, and tailoring.

Nation-building Focus:
The initiative emphasizes inclusive growth, skill development, and sustainable livelihood opportunities, reinforcing Air India’s commitment to social impact and community resilience.
