Travel Advisory: AirAsia flights check-in in Hong Kong to be relocated to Terminal 2
AirAsia will relocate its check-in services for international flights departing from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) to Terminal 2 (T2) from Terminal 1 (T1), effective 28 May 2026. Key Changes - Effective Date: 28 May 2026 - Check-in Relocation: International flight check-in moves from Terminal 1 (T1) to Terminal 2 (T2). - Check-in Counters: Located at Row V, International Departure, T2. Passenger Flow - Guests check in and drop baggage at T2. - After check-in, passengers must walk back to T1 (approx. 5 minutes) for boarding. - Boarding gates and baggage claim remain in T1. Notifications - Guests will be informed via registered contact details. - AirAsia members will receive push notifications through the AirAsia MOVE app. Travel Tips - Arrive at least 3 hours before departure. - Self check-in online (via website or MOVE app) is strongly encouraged. - Check-in & baggage drop counters close 1 hour before scheduled departure.
