SWISS will be further expanding its network in the 2026/27 winter schedules with a new service to Bengaluru, its first ever to a destination in Southern India. New Destination: Bengaluru - First-ever SWISS service to Southern India begins in the 2026/27 winter schedule. - Five-times-weekly flights between Zurich and Bengaluru (India’s Silicon Valley). - Bengaluru becomes SWISS’s third Indian destination, after Delhi and Mumbai. - SWISS will operate Bengaluru service on Airbus A330 fleet. - CEO Jens Fehlinger highlighted strong demand from the business community for direct flights to this major tech hub. Flight schedule: - LX 140 (eastbound): Departs Zurich at 13:20 (except Mon/Wed), arrives Bengaluru 02:55 next day. - LX 141 (westbound): Departs Bengaluru at 04:50 (except Tue/Thu), arrives Zurich 10:50 same day. Airbus A350 services extended to Johannesburg and Shanghai - SWISS’s new A350 fleet will grow to five aircraft by end of 2026. - Already flying to Boston and Seoul, now extended to Johannesburg and Shanghai. - Features the SWISS Senses cabin with enhanced comfort across all classes. Network Adjustments - Geneva-based network will serve 15 short-haul destinations. - Berlin, Hamburg, and Pristina dropped due to limited Airbus A220 parts availability. - Overall, SWISS will serve 88 destinations worldwide (60 European + 24 intercontinental from Zurich, plus Geneva routes). - Winter timetable runs 25 Oct 2026 – 27 Mar 2027. This move strengthens SWISS’s presence in India’s fast-growing aviation market while showcasing its premium A350 product on more long-haul routes.
