Noida International Airport to Welcome Passengers from 15th June 2026
Noida International Airport (IATA code: DXN) has officially announced that it will begin welcoming passengers from 15th June 2026. This marks the start of commercial flight operations, opening a new gateway for the National Capital Region and North India. The launch follows the airport’s inauguration by the Prime Minister and approval of its Aerodrome Security Program, confirming that all security systems and procedures are in place. First flight: IndiGo will operate the inaugural service, followed by Akasa Air and Air India Express. Capacity: One runway and a passenger terminal designed to serve 12 million passengers annually, with plans to expand to 70 million over time. Connectivity: Strong multimodal links and modern infrastructure aimed at smooth passenger journeys and cost-efficient airline operations. Economic impact: Expected to boost regional connectivity, tourism, trade, and investment. Sustainability: The airport is committed to a net zero emissions goal, blending Swiss efficiency with Indian hospitality. Developer: Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (a 100% subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG) is managing the project under a 40-year concession.
