Air India Express is making a strong comeback in West Asia, reinstating flights to Qatar and Bahrain while boosting connectivity to the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia starting 30 April 2026.
Network Expansion
- Over 40 daily flights to the Gulf region.
- Services restored from major Indian metros and regional hubs including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kannur, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Amritsar, Varanasi, and Mangaluru.

- UAE: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain.
- Oman: Muscat.
- Saudi Arabia: Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam.
- Qatar: Doha.
- Bahrain: Bahrain.
- Kuwait: (no reinstated routes yet).

- The reinstatement strengthens India–Gulf ties, catering to both expatriate communities and business/tourism travel.
- Air India Express continues to operate with a fleet of over 100 Boeing 737s and Airbus A320s, serving 45 domestic and 17 international destinations.
