Hyatt has announced that The Standard is coming to Austin, marking the brand’s first U.S. opening in more than a decade.

Project Overview
- Location: The existing South Congress Hotel at 1603 South Congress Ave will be converted and reimagined as The Standard, Austin.
- Opening Timeline: Renovations begin Summer 2026, with the debut slated for Spring 2027.
- Concept: Designed as a cultural playground, blending Austin’s creative energy with The Standard’s global lifestyle ethos.

The Standard, Austin joins a constellation of destinations including London, Ibiza, Bangkok, Brussels, with Lisbon and Mexico City openings expected later this year.
