IndiGo Expands International Network with New, Direct Flights between Delhi and Colombo
IndiGo’s new Delhi–Colombo direct flights, starting 29 March 2026, mark a major expansion of its South Asia network. Route & Schedule: - Operated with A320 aircraft. - Six flights per week (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat, Sun). - Delhi → Colombo (6E 1169): Departs 18:40, arrives 22:20. - Colombo → Delhi (6E 1170): Departs 23:20, arrives 02:55 (+1). Network Expansion: - IndiGo will now operate 55+ weekly flights to Colombo from five Indian cities: Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi. - Also connects Chennai and Tiruchirappalli to Jaffna with 10 weekly flights. - Strengthens IndiGo’s footprint in Sri Lanka and enhances regional connectivity. Passenger Experience: - Booking available via IndiGo’s website, app, and travel partners. - Options to pre‑book meals (including alcoholic beverages). - Personalization through UpFront and Flexi offerings: comfort seating, complimentary snacks, and hassle‑free cancellations.
