In celebration of this year’s Hong Kong Art Month, Luxury Group by Marriott International unveils “Art of Arrival,” a new artist residency program that invites emerging Chinese artist Chen Zuo to present a journey across place and perspective. Concept: A new artist residency program that transforms the idea of “arrival” into a creative journey. Guests experience art as part of their stay, not just as decoration. Featured Artist: Emerging Chinese painter Chen Zuo, who began the inaugural residency at The Ritz-Carlton, Suzhou. His work draws from Suzhou’s gardens, waterways, and Taihu stones. Showcase Path: - Premieres during Hong Kong Art Month at The St. Regis Hong Kong. - Travels to Art Basel Switzerland with Galerie Urs Meile. - Continues across select Marriott Luxury properties in Greater China with salons, collector gatherings, and artist talks. Collaborations: - The St. Regis Hong Kong partnered with sparkling tea brand Mindful Sparks and artist Elsa Ngai for a limited-edition tea inspired by the hotel’s signature fragrance. - JW Marriott Hong Kong transformed its 34th floor into an “Infinity Guestroom Floor” with sculptor Richard X. Zawitz’s Curvism. - The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong installed bamboo craft artist Angus Ting’s “Dialogue of Stillness and Resilience” in its 103rd floor lobby. Strategic Aim: Marriott positions luxury as cultural relevance + personal meaning, moving beyond static exhibitions to immersive, evolving artistic encounters. This initiative reflects how luxury hospitality is increasingly blending art, culture, and lifestyle to create deeper guest engagement.
