IHG signs Crowne Plaza Resort in Sohna, Gurgaon NCR
IHG has announced the signing of a new Crowne Plaza Resort in Sohna, Gurgaon NCR, in partnership with Harisons Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd. The resort is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2029 and will be strategically located about 70 minutes from Delhi International Airport. Target Market: Weddings, social celebrations, weekend leisure travelers, and corporate offsites. Capacity: 150 contemporary rooms designed for comfort and connectivity. Amenities: - Four dining options (lobby lounge, all-day dining, specialty restaurant, bar) - Expansive banqueting and meeting venues - Health club, spa, swimming pool - Indoor and outdoor leisure spaces Strategic Fit: Strengthens IHG’s premium portfolio in India, where it already operates 51 hotels across six brands, with 89 more in the pipeline over the next 3–5 years. IHG emphasized that Sohna is a high-potential corridor due to strong demand for weddings and corporate activity, making it an ideal location for Crowne Plaza. Harisons Hotels & Resorts echoed this, noting the partnership will create a unique hospitality destination that appeals to both domestic and international travelers.
