The Canary Islands and Madeira continue to rank among the most appreciated winter destinations thanks to their mild climate, diverse landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. Following the great success of the recent winter season in the area, Costa Cruises is pleased to announce an enhanced deployment in the region for winter 2026/27. Costa Smeralda - Will be positioned in the Canary Islands. - Operating a new 7-day itinerary between the Canaries and Madeira. - This redeployment increases guest capacity and enhances the winter offering in the region. Costa Pacifica - After dry dock, will be repositioned to the Western Mediterranean. - Offering 7-day cruises to Western Med destinations and longer itineraries to South Europe & North Africa. - Includes new exclusive long itineraries designed for winter discovery. Strategic Adjustments - Costa will not operate in the Middle East for winter 2026/27 due to regional uncertainty. - As a result, Costa Smeralda’s positioning voyages to/from the Emirates are cancelled. - Guests booked on Emirates itineraries or positioning cruises will receive: - Option to rebook any other Costa cruise immediately. - €200 onboard credit per cabin (€100 per person). - Guests booked on Costa Pacifica’s Canary Islands program will be protected under the same conditions on Costa Smeralda’s Canary itineraries. Booking Timeline - New itineraries for Costa Smeralda (Canaries) and Costa Pacifica (West Med & North Africa) will be available for booking by end of March 2026. Costa emphasizes that these changes are meant to provide clarity and planning certainty for guests and partners, while ensuring every voyage remains relaxing and worry-free .
