Air India and Air India Express will be operating all their flights to and from the newly inaugurated Terminal 2 of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati from 16 March. Air India & Air India Express – Guwahati Terminal Shift - Effective Date: 16 March 2026 - Change: Operations move from Terminal 1 (T1) to the newly inaugurated Terminal 2 (T2) at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati. - Scale: Together, the two airlines will operate 38 daily flights from T2. First Flights at T2 Air India: - First arrival – AI879 from Delhi - First departure – AI880 to Delhi Air India Express: - First arrival – IX1517 from Kolkata - First departure – onward leg of IX1517 to Imphal Connectivity - Air India: 2 daily return flights between Delhi ↔ Guwahati - Air India Express: 17 daily flights linking Guwahati with Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dibrugarh, Dimapur, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, and Kolkata Passenger Support Ground teams from both airlines will provide assistance to ensure a smooth transition for travelers at the new terminal. This move is part of Guwahati Airport’s modernization push, positioning T2 as the hub for handling higher passenger volumes and improving regional connectivity.
