In order to assist passengers affected by the recent security situation in the Middle East to properly arrange their itineraries and provide relevant passenger service guarantees, China Eastern Airlines has formulated special regulations for tickets of routes involving Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Muscat. Scope of Application - Applies to tickets issued by China Eastern Airlines (ticket numbers starting with 781). - Must include at least one unused flight segment involving Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, or Muscat. - Departure dates covered: March 16 – May 31, 2026. - Tickets must have been issued or exchanged before March 10, 2026 (15:00). - Cancellations covered if made Feb 28, 2026 – scheduled departure time. Exchange Policy - One free change if the new flight departs within 3 days before or after the original flight. - Further changes or changes outside this 3-day window follow normal ticket rules. Cancellation Policy - Unused flight segments can be canceled free of charge if within the validity period. - If the ticket has already been exchanged under this policy, cancellation follows normal ticket rules. Itinerary Change - You may change your itinerary to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, or Muscat. - Free change if within 3 days before/after the original flight, but fare/tax differences apply. - Beyond that, normal ticket rules apply. Endorsement - If changing to another airline, passengers are advised to cancel the original ticket and buy a new one. Reminders - Cancel check-in and seat selection first if already completed. - Cancel itineraries before scheduled departure time. This policy is designed to support passengers affected by the security situation in the Middle East and ensure flexibility in managing travel plans.
