ANA Celebrates the 40th Anniversary of International Scheduled Flights

ANA celebrated the 40th anniversary of its international scheduled flights on March 3.

Milestone Journey
- First International Flight: March 3, 1986 — Narita to Guam, operated with a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar.
- Current Network (March 2026): Expanded to 55 routes serving 40 cities, including new additions to Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul.
- Passenger Milestone: By December 2025, ANA had carried approximately 170 million passengers on international flights.

Anniversary Celebrations
- Ceremony: Held at Narita Airport Terminal 1 on March 3, 2026.
- Highlights:
- “40th THANKS” human letters formed by ~300 ANA employees.
- Traditional Choshi Hane-Daiko drum performance.
- CEO Shinichi Inoue expressed gratitude and outlined ANA’s vision for the future.
- Passengers received commemorative stickers, boarding certificates, and original luggage tags.
