Israel Allocates 4 Million NIS to Strengthen Tourism Cooperation with India and Advance Bilateral MoU

The Government of Israel has approved a new initiative to deepen tourism cooperation with India, including a dedicated allocation of 4 million NIS by the Israel Ministry of Tourism to expand activity in the Indian market and advance the signing of a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in tourism- subject to parallel allocation by the Government of India.

Funding Commitment:
The Government of Israel has approved an allocation of 4 million NIS to strengthen tourism cooperation with India.

Bilateral MoU:
This funding supports the advancement of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in tourism, contingent on parallel support from the Government of India.

Joint Working Group:
Plans include establishing a joint working group to:
- Enhance policy dialogue
- Develop joint tourism products
- Increase travel flows between the two countries

Focus Areas:
Leisure, family, business, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) segments.

Visa Facilitation:
The Israel Ministry of Tourism will review visa processes with relevant authorities to ease travel procedures for Indian visitors, aiming to boost long-term inbound tourism.

This initiative signals a significant step toward deepening cultural and economic ties between Israel and India through tourism.
