Delhi Metro renamed Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 station as Shree Ram Mandir Mayur Vihar

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has officially renamed the Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 station on the Pink Line to Shree Ram Mandir Mayur Vihar, following approval from the State Names Authority Committee. This station lies on the Shiv Vihar–Majlis Park corridor and serves as a key stop for commuters in East Delhi.

Platforms:
- Platform 1 → Trains towards Shiv Vihar and Maujpur-Babarpur
- Platform 2 → Trains towards Majlis Park

Amenities:
4 lifts, 3 escalators, first-aid room, toilets, and token vending machines.

Broader Context:
The renaming is part of DMRC’s wider push to upgrade infrastructure and environmental measures. Recently, anti-pollution systems (mist spray units and anti-smog guns) have been installed across all 143 elevated metro stations in Delhi to combat air pollution.
