Nepal Unrest: Travel Advisory Issued for Indian Citizens

India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has urged citizens to postpone travel to Nepal due to unrest in Kathmandu. Those already in Nepal are advised to stay indoors, follow local safety advisories, and monitor updates from the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.

Flight Disruptions
- Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu has been shut down following incidents of arson and unrest.
- Flights from IndiGo, FlyDubai, and Thai Lion Air were diverted to Lucknow and Delhi.
- IndiGo has suspended all Nepal-bound flights until further notice.
- Air India is offering a one-time waiver on rescheduling charges for affected passengers.
- SpiceJet and AI Express have also canceled upcoming flights to Kathmandu.

Stranded Travelers and Trucks
The airport closure and travel advisory have left tourists and cargo trucks stranded, adding to logistical challenges in the region.

If you were planning a trip or have loved ones in Nepal, it’s wise to stay updated through official channels.
