Goa is all set to get ‘IFFI’fied again for the next nine days

The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025 is about to transform Goa into a vibrant cinematic hub from 20–28 November 2025, marking its 56th edition. Festival Highlights:

Grand Opening Parade (Nov 20):
- Majestic tableaus from Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, and Goa.
- Performances by 100 folk artists under “Bharat Ek Soor”.
- Beloved characters like Chhota Bheem, Chutki, Motlu Patlu, and Bittu Bahanebaaz adding sparkle.

Competitions & Segments:
- International Competition, Best Debut Feature Film, ICFT-UNESCO Gandhi Medal.
- Special showcases: Macabre Dreams, Docu-Montage, Experimental Films, UNICEF, and Restored Classics.

Creative Minds of Tomorrow (CMOT):
- 124 young creators selected from 799 entries across 13 filmmaking crafts.
- Includes 24 wildcard winners from WAVES 2025 CIC Challenge.

WAVES Film Bazaar (19th edition):
- 300+ film projects across labs, screenings, and co-production markets.
- Delegations from 7+ countries and showcases from 10+ Indian states.
- Dedicated Tech Pavilion for VFX, CGI, animation, and digital production.

CinemAI Hackathon:
- Organized with LTIMindtree and WAVES Film Bazaar.
- Focus on AI-driven innovation in filmmaking, certification, and anti-piracy frameworks.

IFFIesta – Cultural Showcase (Nov 21–24):
- Four-day celebration of music, performance, and creative arts at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Auditorium.

Tributes & Honours:
- Centenary tributes to Guru Dutt, Raj Khosla, Ritwik Ghatak, P. Bhanumathi, Bhupen Hazarika, and Salil Chowdhury.
- Screening of classics like Musafir and Subarnarekha.
- Closing ceremony honouring Rajinikanth for 50 years in cinema.
