NHAI Undertakes Project to Remove Traffic Bottleneck at Subroto Park Airforce Station in Delhi

- Objective: To eliminate a traffic bottleneck at the start of the Parade Road underpass, where movement towards Gurugram is currently restricted.

- Widening of Carriageway: The left-hand side (LHS) of the road heading towards Gurugram is being expanded from 2 lanes to 4 lanes.
- Reason for Bottleneck: The road narrows from 4 lanes to 2 due to a Metro pillar at the edge of the carriageway.
- Additional Infrastructure:
- Relocation of a drain, peripheral road, and parts of the Air Force Station building to make space for the expansion.
- Construction of a new foot overbridge near Subroto Park at the start of the RTR flyover to enhance pedestrian safety.

Timeline
- Estimated Completion: Approximately 6 months from the start date (November 2025).
