Air India today announced a new, unilateral codeshare partnership with airBaltic, the flag carrier of Latvia, thus making the Baltic region more conveniently accessible for Air India customers. New Agreement: Air India has entered into a unilateral codeshare partnership with airBaltic, Latvia’s flag carrier. Connectivity: Air India now places its “AI” designator code on airBaltic-operated flights between Riga (Latvia) and major European gateways: Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Milan Malpensa, Vienna, Zurich, and London Gatwick. Convenience: This allows passengers to book a single Air India ticket for travel between India and Riga, with seamless connections via these European hubs. Extended Reach: Through its interline partnership, Air India customers can also access Tallinn (Estonia) and Vilnius (Lithuania), covering the wider Baltic region. Leadership Statement: Nipun Aggarwal, Air India’s Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized that this partnership strengthens Air India’s global connectivity and makes travel to the Baltic region more convenient.
