Policy Announcement: The Union Ministry of Tourism will establish city-level convention promotion bureaus starting in 2026. Objective: To strengthen India’s Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) ecosystem and position the country as a future-ready global destination. Venues & Campaigns: Iconic venues like Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi, and Jio World Centre will be central to the strategy, supported under the Incredible India campaign. Growth Target: India aims to double its share of the global MICE market within five years. Technology Adoption: Advanced computing, AI, and digital transformation will be integrated into event planning and management, making India a smart exhibition hub. Industry Collaboration: The Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA) is working on a roadmap to propel India into the top five global exhibition markets, supported by BIS standards for consistent quality. Market Outlook: India’s MICE market, valued at USD 49.4 billion in 2024, is projected to grow to USD 103.7 billion by 2030.
