Kerala has just received a prestigious honor — Travel + Leisure India’s Best Wellness Destination Award 2025. Here are the key highlights from the announcement: Recognition: Kerala was chosen in the annual Travel + Leisure India’s Best Awards 2025, which celebrate excellence across travel, lifestyle, and hospitality. Global Appeal: The award underscores Kerala’s reputation for Ayurveda and holistic healing traditions, attracting wellness travelers from around the world. Tourism Minister’s Statement: Shri P. A. Mohamed Riyas emphasized that Kerala’s leadership in wellness tourism is “indisputable,” thanks to its famed Ayurvedic practices and scenic landscapes. Unique Experience: Visitors not only rejuvenate through Ayurveda and other healing practices but also become ambassadors of Kerala’s wellness tourism. Award Ceremony: Dr. Aswathy Sreenivas, IAS, received the award in New Delhi from Ms. Akshita M. Bhanj Deo, Editor-in-Chief of Travel + Leisure India & South Asia.
