Akasa Air expands its fleet to 31 aircraft, marking another milestone in its unprecedented growth journey

Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, today received the delivery of its 31st aircraft, a milestone that underscores the airline’s exceptional growth momentum and its emergence as one of the most dynamic forces shaping India’s aviation landscape.

31st Aircraft Delivered:
On 10 December 2025, Akasa Air received its 31st Boeing 737 MAX 8-200, registered VT-YBH, at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru.

Custom-Built for Akasa:
This aircraft is among the first tailored to Akasa’s specifications, featuring Safran Z200 seats with: - 4-inch recline
- Ergonomic backrest and enhanced cushioning
- USB-C and USB-A charging ports for passengers

Sustainability Focus:
Seats use advanced materials to align with Akasa’s eco-friendly goals, while the 737 MAX fleet reduces fuel use, carbon emissions, and cabin noise.

Rapid Growth:
Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa has carried 22 million passengers and now connects 26 domestic and 6 international cities, including Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait City, and Phuket.

Future Expansion:
Akasa has placed a landmark order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with 195 more scheduled for delivery over the next seven years.
