AQUASERENE (NEERTAL) TOURIST COMPLEX, DUDHANI

Dudhani is the most famous tourist destination of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. With an area of 0.78 Hectares and four luxury cottages and 14 rooms, Aquaserene Neertal Tourist Complex is situated in this serene and beautiful village of Dudhani. A world-class restaurant, reception centre, souvenir shop and dormitory facility for the tourist is available in this complex. This spot is being developed for adventure tourists, water scooters, aqua bikes, etc. Dudhani is situated on Damanganga reservoir where many boatmen ply their beautiful Shikaras. One can also avail the facility to stay in a House Boat.

THE CHURCH OF OUR LADY OF PIETY

Situated right opposite Tribal Museum, the Church of Our Lady of Piety is one of the oldest churches in the region. Built by the Portuguese in the latter part of the 18th century, the church is noted for its imposing Gothic architecture and bears a stark resemblance to Barcelona’s Sagrada familia, which was designed by renowned architect Antoni Gaudi. The structure has grey exteriors built with stone and stands as a testament to the rich colonial past of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The Main Altar of the church is truly magnificent and its wooden pews are also impressive. One of the walls of the church is decorated with a mural of the famous Last Supper, which is a great work of art. The stained glass windows of the church add to its grandeur. The church can be visited on all days of the week from 7 am to 7 pm.

VASONA LION SAFARI

Vasona Lion Safari Park is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. The best way to explore the park is to take a safari in a bus or van fitted with mesh screen and spot the majestic lions in their natural habitat. There are more than three lions in the safari park, which is sprawled over an area of 20 acres and bound by a 3-m-high wall. You can also spot pythons and other wild species of reptiles during the safari. The park is a part of Dadra and Nagar Haveli Wildlife Sanctuary and also shares the neighbourhood with the Satmalia Deer Park. Built with an aim to preserve Asiatic lions, the Lion Safari Park remains open from 9 am to 5 pm and lies at a distance of 10 km from Silvassa.

NAKSHATRA GARDEN

Nakshatra Garden is an Astro-themed garden, which has a large variety of plants and trees linked to zodiac signs. The garden has been designed according to the Indian system of astrology that links plants with the motion of different planets. The garden has a dedicated play area for kids. The well-maintained garden also has numerous little ponds and various species of trees. The ponds are linked by small bridges and serve as a home for various species of ducks. The garden is famous for its medicinal herbs and plants including Ayurvedic herbs. The beautiful walking tracks in the garden are lined with botanical plants with their nameplates. The park remains open for visitors from 6.30 am to 7 pm every day.

DAMAN GANGA RIVER FRONT

One of the Iconic structures of Silvassa. A Vibrant centre of the city, where people enjoy and learn the Society for Promotion of Tourism, Arts & Culture. HIRWAVAN GARDEN

Hirwavan garden is located at Piparia in Silvassa. A Very neat, clean & well maintained small garden. The garden has good greenery, beautiful plants & flowers and man-made waterfalls is the main attraction of this place. One can spend its time for some walking, chatting & relaxation.

SATMALIA DEER SANCTUARY

On the way to Khanvel, Satmalia has a wildlife sanctuary with many species of antelope. Many other animals – including sambhar and chital deer, and blackbucks – and a wide variety of birds – including the flame back woodpecker, peacocks, and thrushes – can be spotted. The machan (watchtower) near the water hole provides an incredible panoramic view of the sanctuary and Madhuban Dam.

HIMAYVAN HEALTH RESORT, KAUNCHA

Himaivan Health Resort, Kauncha was named after Himai, the goddess of Adivasi tribals residing in the vicinity. Van means forest, and so it gets the name. It is set amidst the lush green hilltop as a backdrop and large reservoir as waterfront in the serene locality of Kauncha village. Covering an area of 2.00 Hect it has rustic-looking cottages and accommodations. Gazebo, health club, restaurant, a wide lawn area and open gym facilities make it a perfect place to enjoy quietude, or perhaps some trekking in the nearby forest area.

TRIBAL MUSEUM, SILVASSA

Tribal Museum, Silvassa is a museum which displays the lifestyle and culture of tribes of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. One can see ornaments, musical instruments, fishing tools, hunting gadgets, agricultural and other household articles used by the tribals of this territory. The museum is popular with the tourists as it offers a glimpse into the life of natives of Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Rich & Vibrant Socio-Cultural Heritage of Varli, Dodhiya, Kokna, Kathodia etc. dwelling in and around forest area of this territory can be viewed and appreciated in this museum.
