Loknath Behera’s tenure as Kochi Metro MD has officially concluded, and the Kerala government has handed temporary charge to Ernakulam District Collector G. Priyanka.

Daily passenger numbers rose from just 15,000 in 2021 to 1.25 lakh in 2026.

Introduced WhatsApp ticketing and ONDC integration, making travel more seamless.
Water Metro Success:
Helped position Kochi’s Water Metro as a globally recognized urban transport project.
Financial Turnaround:
Reported an operational profit of ₹53 crore in the last fiscal year.
Green Mobility:
Added 15 feeder electric buses and developed 52 km of modern footpaths across the city.
Phase II Expansion:
Kaloor–Infopark stretch is expected to be completed within a year.
