Viking Takes Delivery of Newest Egypt Ship
Viking has officially taken delivery of its newest river ship in Egypt, the Viking Ptah, at a ceremony held at the Massara shipyard in Cairo.

- Design: Inspired by Viking’s award‑winning river and ocean ships, featuring Scandinavian elegance, a square bow, and the signature Aquavit Terrace (indoor/outdoor).
- Purpose‑built: Specifically designed for the Nile River, serving Viking’s popular 12‑day Pharaohs & Pyramids itinerary.
Strategic Growth
- Viking continues to expand aggressively:
- 20 new river ships by 2028
- 9 new ocean ships by 2031
- 2 new expedition ships by 2031
- By 2028, Viking will operate 114 river ships, and by 2031, a combined 26 ocean and expedition ships.
