Carnival Cruise Line has marked a major milestone with the steel-cutting ceremony for its newest ship, Carnival Destiny, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. Scheduled to debut in summer 2029, Destiny will be the first of three vessels in Carnival’s next-generation Ace Class.
Legacy Connection:
The name recalls the original Carnival Destiny (1996), once the world’s largest cruise ship, symbolizing a new era in cruising.
Design Innovation:
- Most outward-facing megaship at sea.
- Unprecedented number of ocean-view balcony cabins.
- Reimagined lanai deck.
- Over 4.5 acres of glass, including multi-story glass walls, creating constant ocean views.
Guest Experience:
- More than 70% of venues and attractions will be brand-new concepts.
- Reimagined dining, next-gen bars and lounges, immersive entertainment, and vibrant outdoor spaces.
Destinations:
Carnival Destiny will sail to the Paradise Collection — exclusive destinations in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Mexico.
Future Fleet:
Two additional Ace-Class ships are planned for 2031 and 2033.
