Emirates expands Thailand operations with a third daily service to Phuket

Emirates is stepping up its presence in Thailand with the launch of a third daily Dubai–Phuket service, operated by the new Airbus A350-900. This expansion reflects the strong summer demand from Europe and the Middle East/GCC and adds much-needed capacity to one of Asia’s most popular resort destinations.

Flight Details
- New service: EK390 departs Dubai at 22:40, arriving Phuket at 08:10 (+1).
- Return: EK391 departs Phuket at 10:00, arriving Dubai at 13:05.
- Total Phuket operations: 21 weekly flights (mix of Boeing 777s and A350s).

Onboard Experience
- Three-class A350:
- 32 Business Class lie-flat seats (1-2-1 layout) - 28 Premium Economy seats
- 238 Economy seats
- Premium Economy perks: extra legroom, curated dining, 35 kg checked baggage allowance.
- Innovations: wireless charging in Business Class, digital inflight menus, 4K HDR entertainment screens, high-speed Wi-Fi powered by ViaSat GX.

Strategic Impact
- Connectivity: Early morning arrival in Phuket is ideal for connections from Europe (London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Manchester) and GCC hubs (Kuwait, Bahrain). - Cargo uplift: Additional daytime departure enhances exports of perishables, electronics, and general cargo to Europe, UK, Africa, GCC, and North America.

- Commitment to Thailand: Builds on Emirates’ recent investments — renovated Bangkok lounge, Emirates World Store at Gaysorn Centre, and fifth freedom routes linking Bangkok with Siem Reap and Da Nang.

Big Picture
This move underscores Thailand’s growing importance as a regional hub for leisure and trade, while Emirates positions itself as the premium carrier of choice with its next-gen A350 fleet and Premium Economy expansion.
