United Unveils New Menu Items from World's Leading Chefs

United Airlines is making a bold move to redefine inflight dining by partnering with Chef’s Table, the Emmy award-winning Netflix brand, to bring chef-curated menus to Polaris® international business class starting August 1, 2026.

What’s New
- 11 globally recognized chefs from four continents are designing multi-course menus.
- Each menu reflects the culinary identity of the chef’s home city, with an appetizer, salad, and entrée.
- Exclusive Chef’s Table content will be available on inflight entertainment, showing the creative journey behind the dishes.

Los Angeles – Nancy Silverton (Osteria Mozza)
- Burrata with braised leeks
- Shaved Brussels sprouts salad
- Beef brasato with garlic mash

Newark – Fariyal Abdullahi (Hav & Mar)
- Chilled tomato soup with crab
- Baby gem salad with berbere pepitas
- Ethiopian-coffee glazed short ribs

Chicago – Jenner Tomaska (Esmé)
- Braised leeks with citrus
- Arugula and endive salad
- Halibut with sauce matelote

Houston – Justin Yu (Theodore Rex)
- Deviled eggs with soy and cheddar
- Chicory salad with spiced bacon
- Braised Texas short rib with miso

Denver – Penelope Wong (Yuan Wonton)

Passenger Experience
- Menus rotate seasonally through 2027.
- Travelers can pre-order meals via United.com or the app, starting five days before departure.
- Exclusive behind-the-scenes storytelling and Chef’s Table: Talks podcast episodes will be available on seatback screens.

This collaboration positions United alongside airlines like Singapore Airlines and Emirates, which have long emphasized gourmet dining. But United’s twist—tying menus to its hub cities and offering storytelling content—adds a cultural and entertainment dimension that could set it apart.
