KLM has reached a significant milestone in its fleet renewal program: its very first Airbus A350 has now entered the Final Assembly Line at Airbus in Toulouse. This is the stage where all major components are joined together, and the aircraft begins to take its final form—the tail already proudly displays the KLM livery. Delivery of this aircraft is expected by the end of the summer. Efficiency & Sustainability: The A350 consumes about 25% less fuel compared to the Boeing 777-200ER and produces a 40% smaller noise footprint. Passenger Comfort: It offers the quietest cabin in its class, improved air quality, and higher cabin pressure for a smoother experience. Pilot Benefits: A fully digital cockpit enhances operational efficiency and support. Fleet Renewal Strategy KLM is investing €7 billion in fleet renewal over the coming years. Alongside the A350, the plan includes: - Embraer 195-E2 for KLM Cityhopper - Airbus A321neo for European routes - Boeing 787 for intercontinental flights - A350F cargo aircraft joining in 2027 This move underscores KLM’s commitment to building a cleaner, quieter, and more modern fleet for both passengers and cargo operations.
