The International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, will organise the 2nd Global Buddhist Summit (GBS) on 24th and 25th January 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Theme: The summit will focus on “Addressing Contemporary Global Challenges through Buddhist Wisdom”, highlighting how Buddhist philosophy can contribute to solutions for modern issues. Organizers: Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in collaboration with the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC). Participants: Expected to bring together scholars, monks, practitioners, and leaders from across the world to deliberate on pressing concerns. Key Topics: Discussions will cover areas such as climate change, conflict resolution, mental health, ethical governance, and sustainable development. Objective: To explore how Buddhist teachings of compassion, mindfulness, and non‑violence can be applied to global challenges and foster peace and harmony. This summit builds on the success of the first Global Buddhist Summit held in 2023, which emphasized the relevance of Buddhist values in today’s interconnected world.
