The Fast Track Immigration–Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) just got a major boost. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has expanded the initiative to five additional airports across India, making international travel smoother for Indian nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders. Newly Added Airports The programme is now available at: - Lucknow - Thiruvananthapuram - Tiruchirappalli - Kozhikode - Amritsar This expansion follows earlier rollouts at major hubs like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, and Ahmedabad. What Is FTI-TTP? It’s a fast-track immigration system designed to: - Speed up immigration clearance via e-gates - Reduce wait times and bypass regular queues - Offer a hassle-free experience for pre-verified travellers Who Can Use It? - Indian citizens - OCI card holders (Phase 2 will include foreign travellers) How to Apply - Visit [www.ftittp.mha.gov.in](https://www.ftittp.mha.gov.in) - Submit biometrics and required documents - Schedule an appointment at designated airports or FRROs Validity - Up to 5 years or until passport expiry (whichever is earlier) So far, 3 lakh people have registered, and 2.65 lakh have already used the service. It’s India’s answer to the U.S. Global Entry Program, aiming to make international mobility faster and more secure.
