Cleartrip announces Visa Denial Cover: Get full refund on airfares if your visa gets rejected

Cleartrip’s Visa Denial Cover is a thoughtful safety net for international travelers booking flights from India. It ensures you won’t lose your flight fare if your tourist visa gets officially rejected by the embassy or consulate. Here's how it works:

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, you must: - Book an international flight via Cleartrip departing from India.
- Hold a valid Indian passport.
- Apply for a tourist visa (other visa types like student, work, or business are not covered).
- Cancel your ticket at least 24 hours before departure.
- Submit all required documents within the specified timeframe.

Documents Required
To claim the refund, you’ll need:
- Visa rejection letter or email from the embassy/consulate.
- Passport copy showing visa rejection (if stamped).
- Flight ticket copy from Cleartrip.
- Cancellation breakdown (PDF or screenshot showing refund details).

Refund Process
1. Cancel your flight via Cleartrip (not directly with the airline).
2. Select “Due to visa rejection” as the reason.
3. Receive a partial refund (excluding Cleartrip & airline cancellation charges).
4. Upload required documents within 10 days of cancellation.
5. Once verified, the remaining refund (cancellation charges) is processed within 5–7 working days.

> Note: The Cleartrip convenience fee is non-refundable, and the cover only applies to partially or fully refundable tickets.

What’s Not Covered
- Visa delays (only rejections are covered).
- Non-tourist visas.
- Non-refundable tickets.
- Rejections due to false documents, expired passports, or missed interviews.

This cover is a great way to book with confidence, especially when visa outcomes are uncertain.
