The Ministry of Ayush has officially conferred the National Dhanwantari Ayurveda Awards 2025, celebrating exceptional contributions to Ayurveda across academic, traditional, and scientific domains. Awardees of 2025 1. Prof. Banwari Lal Gaur - A Sanskrit scholar and Ayurvedic academician with over 60 years of service - Authored 31 books and mentored 24 PhD scholars - Honored for strengthening Ayurveda through language and literature 2. Vaidya Neelakandhan Mooss E.T. - Head of the Vaidyaratnam Group, representing Kerala’s 200-year-old Ayurvedic legacy - Leads over 100 physicians and pioneered community health programs like Marmayanam and Vajra 3. Vaidya Bhavana Prasher - Scientist at CSIR–IGIB, recognized for her groundbreaking work in Ayurgenomics - Developed AI/ML-based Prakriti analysis protocols used in national health programs Purpose of the Awards - To honor excellence in Ayurveda and inspire future generations - Promote integration of traditional wisdom with modern science - Strengthen Ayurveda’s role in preventive healthcare and global wellness These awards were presented during the 10th National Ayurveda Day celebrations held at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa, under the theme _“Ayurveda for People & Planet”_.
