Key Goals of the Collaboration
- Elevate India as a global diving and adventure destination
- Promote environmental responsibility and safety standards
- Develop national standards for scuba diving and adventure activities

Highlights of the MoU
- Information Exchange: Sharing best practices in safety, sustainability, and tourism management.
- Destination Promotion: Joint efforts to showcase India’s underwater and adventure tourism potential.
- Events & Outreach: Participation in trade fairs, conferences, and exhibitions.
- Diving Education: Training programs aligned with PADI’s global standards and development of PADI Dive Centres in India.

Organizational Roles
- ATOAI:
Will coordinate efforts among Indian adventure tour operators and work with the Bureau of Indian Standards.

- PADI:
Will provide technical expertise, conduct site assessments, and support ISO standard adoption for scuba diving.

This partnership is valid for five years and reflects a shared vision for responsible tourism and environmental stewardship. It’s a major step toward positioning India as a world-class destination for adventure and diving enthusiasts.
