Marriott International has reached a landmark milestone in Saudi Arabia, celebrating a portfolio of 100 hotels (open and pipeline combined) across the Kingdom. Milestone Achievement - The 100-property mark was reached with the signing of a Courtyard by Marriott in Makkah Masar, a 1,100-room hotel developed in partnership with SEDCO Capital. - This property will be part of the Masar destination masterplan, a landmark urban development leading directly to the Masjid al-Haram. Strategic Expansion - Marriott currently operates 44 hotels with over 11,000 rooms across 13 brands in Saudi Arabia. - The Courtyard brand is Marriott’s most global brand, already with six properties in the Kingdom. - The new hotel is expected to open in 2030, offering modern design, multiple dining venues, meeting facilities, a ballroom, fitness centre, kids club, and retail spaces.
