Starting August 15, 2025, India’s FASTag system is getting a major upgrade with the launch of a ₹3,000 Annual Pass — a game-changer for frequent highway travelers. Who’s Eligible? - Only for non-commercial private vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans. - Your vehicle must have an active FASTag linked to a valid registration number. - The FASTag must be properly affixed and not blacklisted or under dispute. - Each pass is tied to a specific vehicle and cannot be transferred. What Do You Get? - 200 toll-free trips or 1 year of validity, whichever comes first. - Valid only on National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) toll plazas. - Not applicable on state highways, private toll roads, or state-run expressways. How to Get It? 1. Download the Rajmarg Yatra app or visit the [NHAI](https://www.nhai.gov.in) or [MoRTH](https://morth.nic.in) websites. 2. Enter your vehicle registration number and FASTag ID. 3. Make a one-time payment of ₹3,000. 4. Once verified, you’ll receive an SMS confirmation and the pass will be activated. If you’re a regular highway commuter—say, 50+ trips a year—you could save ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 annually in tolls.
