Bengaluru metro services extended for New Year’s Eve 2025–26; MG Road station closed
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced extended metro services across the Purple, Green and Yellow lines on New Year’s Eve. 🟣 Purple Line - Whitefield → Challaghatta: Last train at 1:45 AM - Challaghatta → Whitefield: Last train at 2:00 AM 🟢 Green Line - Madavara → Silk Institute: Last train at 2:00 AM - Silk Institute → Madavara: Last train at 2:00 AM 🟡 Yellow Line - RV Road → Bommasandra: Last train at 3:10 AM - Bommasandra → RV Road: Last train at 1:30 AM Train Frequency (Dec 31, 11:30 PM – Jan 1 early morning) - Purple & Green Lines: Every 8 minutes - Yellow Line: Every 15 minutes Majestic Hub - Final departures towards Whitefield, Challaghatta, Madavara, Silk Institute at 2:45 AM. ⚠️ MG Road Station Closure - Closed for entry/exit from 10:00 PM on Dec 31 due to expected heavy crowds. - Use Trinity or Cubbon Park stations instead. - Token sales at these stations stop after 11:00 PM. - Passengers are advised to buy return tickets in advance or use QR tickets/smart cards. 👉 In short: extended metro services till early morning Jan 1, 2026, but MG Road station will be shut for safety.
