Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the Saras Aajeevika Food Festival 2025 at New Delhi on 1 December 2025

The Saras Aajeevika Food Festival 2025 is being organized by the Ministry of Rural Development at Sunder Nursery, New Delhi. Union Minister for Rural Development, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the event on 1 December 2025.

Key Highlights of the Festival
- Runs from 1–9 December 2025 at Sunder Nursery, near Humayun’s Tomb.
- Features 62 stalls with participation from 300+ women entrepreneurs (“Lakhpati Didis”) and Self-Help Groups across 25 states.

Visitors can enjoy 500+ delicacies, including:
- Himachali siddu
- Uttarakhand’s tandoor tea
- Jammu & Kashmir’s kalari kulcha
- Hyderabadi dum biryani
- North Eastern momos
- Bengali fried fish
- Rajasthan’s ker sangri and gatte ki sabzi
- Bihar’s litti chokha
- Punjab’s sarson ka saag with makki ki roti

Festival timings:
11:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. daily.

Focus:
Showcasing women’s empowerment under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) by promoting rural products and traditional cuisines.

This event is not just about food—it’s a cultural confluence, giving Delhiites and visitors a chance to experience India’s diversity through taste and tradition.
